The Greek Manpower Organization (OAED) in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education, the Centre for the Development of Educational Policies of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) and the Institute of Small Businesses of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants (GSEVEE) are implementing in Greece the project BASIC - Building Alternative Skills’ Innovative sChemes, which is funded in the context of EaSi under contract VS/2018/0022.
Project BASIC is a national-wide integrated action on upgrading skills and competences of low-skilled adults in accordance to national policies and recommendations, and consists of:

- identifying and prioritizing the target groups that need upgrading of their skills, the pedagogical methods and the skills assessment tools;
- piloting vocational training by selecting the most appropriate methods - tools, production and testing of appropriate training material for trainers and trainees, as well as
- the formulation, ultimately, of a system for basic skills certification
The partners of the BASIC project were informed about DCDS and its outcomes. They were particularly impressed by the completeness of DCDE, in terms of tools and services it contains, and by the richness of the training content. Hellenic Open University - HOU agreed to support the use of DCDE (Greek version) by BASIC project to train about 30 low skilled adults in basic digital skills. HOU will provide tutoring and learning accounts, will train the BASIC tutors in using the platform, and will support the training process.
