The Digital Competences Development System (DCDS) project aims to provide a solution to this challenging reality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"big\">To achieve this aim, the project will develop an open, innovative multilingual Digital Competences Development System (DCDS) and use it to provide non-formal training to low-skilled adults. The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcds-project.eu\"><strong>Digital Competences Development System (DCDS<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong>\u00a0aligned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/repository\/bitstream\/JRC106281\/web-digcomp2.1pdf_%28online%29.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp v.2.1<\/strong><\/a><strong>)\u00a0<\/strong>will contribute to promote the use of this Framework by non-formal training providers and its adoption by policy makers around Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"big\">That is expected to be a significant step towards a more digital competent European society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In modern European societies, where there is an ever increasing need for digital competence among citizens, 44% of Europeans still lack basic digital skills.
